Biography

Keely Grigel

Biography

  • Keely Grigel worked on the cult classic, "The Room" and is known as "Mister Wolf" when it comes to project managing digital media workflow. At 22, Keely's lighting experience resulted in a lifelong goal: She was invited to work at the prestigious Sundance Institute Director's Lab. Then, her crew won the Daytime Emmy Award for Live 8, a global rock concert, during which she coordinated 70 foreign translators annotating live footage in 8 countries. Keely is 2 parts rock and roll, 1 part film.

At 23, Keely worked as a producer for AOL, launched both Welcome Screen Promotions and AOL Online Video Sponsorships. This resulted in a 40% increase during the transition from a paid site to sponsorship-driven business model. At its zenith, AOL's membership was over 30 million members worldwide. Keely project managed the encoding of hundreds of video assets for 20 weekly campaigns averaging $2.5 million. Keely also integrated video ad units for all global ad agencies, Warner Bros, and other studios during the acquisition of Advertising.com, a network of 3,000 websites. As part of the Hollywood production team, Keely worked on AOL Music Concerts and AOL Moviefone shoots.

Keely's producing work enabled her to pay off a Bachelor of Science in Management at Pepperdine University. She thought she'd be able to surf in Malibu but instead she worked at William Morris Endeavor to launch new sponsorship workflow and rock concert festivals. In order to relax from the rapidly changing internet industry, Keely coordinated the production trailer on concert festivals for AEG Live-Goldenvoice, including the 1st LA Weekly Detour in Downtown LA, attended by 200,000 fans.

Keely demonstrates grace under pressure and perseverance in her goals. Having paid her dues, like sleeping out of her car at 19 while attending community college classes because she knew no one in LA, to her focus on learning a lighting trade, Keely's hard work has resulted in a network of clients who call her to consult on new technology.

Mostly, Keely loves working with crazy artists to put structure to their dreams. She adores challenges and fast-paced environments. ~"Happiness finds us when we follow our dreams."
