Lois Best was born on 15 June 1917 in Courtney, Pennsylvania, USA. She was married to Jules Herman. She died on 28 October 2015 in Edina, Minnesota, USA.
First job was playing piano at Warner Brothers Music demonstrating the "hit" songs of the day. Shortly thereafter the Lawrence Welk Band was in need for a female singer and Lois became Lawrence Welk's Original Champagne Lady.
