Celia Galán is a screenwriter and director from Barcelona, graduated from the Royal College of Art in London. Her short films have won awards at the Cannes Film Festival (2nd Prize Cinéfondation for Historia del Desierto) and the Chicago Int. Film Festival (Gold Hugo for One Minute Past Midnight) as well as being screened in official competition at top film festivals such as Sundance, Palm Springs, Edinburgh, Sitges or Málaga. She has been invited by the Cinéfondation Residence of the Cannes Film Festival in Paris, where she developed her feature film Rosita Guzmán is Alive, which participated in the Atelier of Cannes, Cinemart in Rotterdam and was a European finalist for the Sundance/NHK Filmmakers Award.
