Wynne Van Buskirk is a multi passionate creative with many talents, skills and interests. A veteran performer, she began studying violin at the age of 3. The youngest of 4 children in a musical family, she earned her first paycheck at the age of 4, while performing with her family at the Dallas Petroleum Club. Also drawn to the piano and singing, she began piano lessons at age 5, and joined a choir at age 9. At age 10, she debuted as a violin soloist with the Richardson Symphony Orchestra. She began composing at age 12, and private voice lessons at 13. Awarded the lead in the school-wide play in 2nd grade, she studied theatre and dance concurrent to her musical studies.
After graduating from the renowned Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts, she attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music while studying Violin Performance in the studio of famed pedagogue Dorothy DeLay. Upon her return to Dallas, she studied acting at KD Studio and worked as an actor with the Dallas Children's Theatre.
While her career as a violinist had her performing with musical greats of multiple genres, from Country and Pop to professional symphony orchestras, both in the US and Internationally, she longed to explore the music of Eastern Europe made popular by the Roma peoples (aka gypsies) and moved to Budapest, Hungary to learn from them first hand. She was later the violinist in the violin and cello duo Joie de Deux for over a decade, whose Christmas CD is available on iTunes and everywhere music is sold. She has composed numerous compositions of several genres for piano.
Having long been interested in alternative medicine, she graduated from the Hypnotherapy Academy of America as a Certified Medical Support Hypnotherapist in 2014, and as a Mind-Body Eating Coach from the Institute for the Psychology of Eating in 2016.
A proud mom of 2, she found herself semi-retired at the same time that her son became serious about acting. As her son became involved with the film community she was offered acting opportunities for herself and became a silent partner with an up and coming production company.
She is a lover of words, writing and languages, having written numerous poems, essays, stories, scenes and monologues as well as having studied Latin, Spanish, German and French. She loves clean food, being in nature, hiking, dogs, meaningful conversations and inspiring others to be their best.
