Julie Simone was born on February 19, 1974 in San Antonio, Texas, USA. She is an actress and director.

I admire most my mother, she taught me about life, hard work, and how to survive.

The themes behind my sets come from a variety of sources. I try to do something different from the norm and to attach a deeper meaning, to make people think a little, to make them question their own ideas and ideals. The last shoot I did ... was mixing the Greek tradition of the oracle and fate with Christian imagery. Maybe only 2 people got it, but it's those 2 people that I want; it's those 2 people about whom I care.

Asymmetry is more in tune with nature, why should one's bondage be any different?

I'm actually shy - most people don't believe that and mistake it as snobbery.

Aside from wanting to make a living, it's really important to me to create a safe and pleasant atmosphere for women in the business. Being a performer myself I know how hard it can be.
