Paola Contreras(II)

Paola Contreras is a Mexican cinematographer based in Toronto, Canada. She studied filmmaking in Mexico and specialized in cinematography at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV) in Cuba. She has experience on fiction, documentary, and experimental projects in Latin America, USA and Canada. Her work often focuses on character-driven stories, with a natural, honest visual style that adapts to the tone and needs of each project. She enjoys collaborating closely with directors and finding simple, grounded ways to tell meaningful stories through images. She is currently a CSC Associate member and a member of Apertura, the Mexican community of female cinematographers.
