Adam J. Graves is a philosopher-turned-filmmaker who earned an Academy Award nomination for the live action short film Anuja, which he wrote, directed and edited. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and is author of the book "The Phenomenology of Revelation in Heidegger, Marion and Ricoeur." Before transitioning to full-time filmmaking, Graves was a tenured Professor of Philosophy at MSU Denver, where he taught and published on ethics, phenomenology, narrative selfhood, and the philosophy of film, and founded the Denver Project for Humanistic Inquiry.
Graves is a dual-citizen of Luxembourg and the United States.
