In this capacity he has Executive Produced and Directed 16 prime-time documentary specials for PBS and Public Television, three different broadcast series (covering 55 episodes) for HGTV, a hit food/cooking series for Magnolia Channel (10 episodes) and countless long and short-form segments for such outlets as CBS News Sunday Morning, ABC News, FOX News, E! Entertainment Television, Food Network, and many more networks internationally.

Goldberg’s most recently released film, White with Fear, was nominated for Best Documentary Screenplay award by the Writers Guild of America. The film, which recently completed its theatrical run across the US, will air as a prime time special on PBS on March 24, 2026. The documentary is a deep dive into how politicians have used racial fear and grievance as a tool to win elections. It has been hailed by leading critics as "Riveting," "Masterful" and "Absolutely required viewing" with film has a 94% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It features interviews with Hillary Clinton, Steve Bannon, Jamie Raskin and others.

Andrew’s current projects include a travelogue for PBS about Israel, and a feature documentary about antisemitism in the US. Later in 2026 he will begin production on major, three-part series for PBS called "America the Beautiful" which explores what it means to be American. For all three projects he will serve as Executive Producer.

In 2020, he Executive Produced and directed the acclaimed "Viral: Antisemitism in Four Mutations" which was released theatrically across the country then aired nationally as a prime time special on PBS. The film was called "Powerful" by Newsweek, "riveting" and "fascinating" by the Wall Street Journal, and "Eye opening" by CBS. The San Francisco Chronicle said it "sucks you in." The film was narrated in part by Julianna Margulies. It has also been picked up by Amazon Prime and Apple TV.

He has worked with and/or interviewed countless celebrities including Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Maya Angelou, Hillary Clinton, Steve Bannon, Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Michael Dukakis, Senator Bob Dole, Elie Wiesel, Natalie Portman, Julianna Margulies, Senator Joseph Lieberman, Shaquille O’Neal, Michael Douglas, the President of Armenia, Julianne Moore, Olympia Dukakis, Edie Falco, Kristen Bell, Laura Linney, Walter Cronkite, and many more.

Some of his previous films include:

The Armenian Genocide which aired in prime time on PBS. It received extraordinary reviews and coverage in almost every major newspaper in the US including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post and The Boston Globe. The NJ Star Ledger called it "...serious, literate and ultimately heartbreaking." Alessandra Stanley of The New York Times described it as a "powerful" film that "...honors the victims of the Genocide."

Jerusalem: Center of the World, which aired on the PBS National Program Service garnering ratings nearly 40% higher than the PBS national average. The Los Angeles Times called it "an event...a yeoman’s task...timely and timeless." New York Newsday described it as "Wonderful... Grade A." Hosted by Ray Suarez of the PBS NewsHour, the two-hour film explores Jerusalem’s history, culture and impact on the world.

They Came to America (PBS) which features interviews with Frank McCourt, Cheech Marin and others, and won the CINE Golden Eagle for Outstanding Programming. From The Wall Street Journal, "The producers knew what they were doing... An impressive 90 minutes... and a consistently affecting one."

Proud To Serve: The Men and Women of the US Army, hosted by Walter Cronkite. The Wall Street Journal wrote of the film that it was "...absorbing..." and "...not to be missed." adding "...they are all narratives, extraordinary in their detail, to say nothing of their power to move."

In addition to many other national PBS films including A Yiddish World Remembered (2002, Emmy Award Winner), Out in America (2010), The Iranian Americans (2012) and others, Goldberg has written and produced for Good Morning America, NOW With David Brancaccio, and National Public Radio’s All Things Considered with Robert Siegel. Previously he was a regular contributor to CBS News Sunday Morning’s Nature Segment, and Live From Lincoln Center.
