Bob, popularly known as Bob Sir, is a celebrated Bollywood choreographer recognized for his unique dance style and extensive contribution to Indian cinema. He has collaborated with Pavan Shetty to choreograph over seventy-five projects. Both of them are famously known as PavanBob.
He started his career in the entertainment industry as a background dancer in Shakti: The Power (2002) for the song Dumroo Baje. By the age of 20, he became a member of the Cine Dancers Association (CDA), a milestone that marked the beginning of his professional career. Over the years, Bob honed his skills under the mentor-ship of legendary choreographers like Ahmed Khan and later collaborated with Adil Shaikh, further refining his craft.
In 2012, he met Pavan Shetty at Adil Shaikh's studio, and their shared passion for dance led to the formation of PavanBob in 2018-a creative venture that has since become one of Bollywood's most sought-after choreography teams. Together, they have trained and choreographed for some of Bollywood's biggest stars, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sunny Leone.
One of Bob's career-defining moments came in 2019, when he co-choreographed the 'Marvel Anthem', featuring A.R. Rahman, directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Dharma 2.0-making history as the first choreographer to make Rahman dance on screen.
In 2024, Bob was honored with the Satyajit Ray Icon Cinema Award for his choreography in the Netflix film Friday Night Plan (2023), starring Babil Khan and produced by Excel Entertainment.
With over two decades in the industry, Bob continues to push creative boundaries, making an everlasting impact on Bollywood dance.
