Bill Bermingham is an independent filmmaker, screenwriter, and the owner-operator of Soulflower Studios Productions based out of Asheville North Carolina.
His experience began when he was 18 years old working as a production assistant on a Sony Corporation of America television commercial. This ignited his passion for the performing arts.
Bill enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin, School of Fine Arts, Department of Theater and Dance where he studied scene design and construction, lighting design and technology, and sound design and engineering. Bill worked as an undergraduate production assistant at The University of Texas at Austin Bass Concert Hall for the touring productions, Tommy the Rock Opera, The Phantom of the Opera and Cats. This forged his way into the film industry.
Bill is a United States Marine Corps Veteran. His primary occupational specialties were Field Artillery and Primary Marksmanship Instructor. He is a Law Enforcement Veteran and served as a covert tactical police officer in The Metro Transit Police Department's Auto Theft Unit - Special Operations Division earning his department's highest award, The Medal of Valor.
