Álvaro Gabarrón Lucas

Álvaro Gabarrón Lucas is an independent director, screenwriter, and producer, as well as the founder of Alga Films, his own production company established in 2019. He made his debut as director and screenwriter in 2020 with the short film The Illustration, which was selected for the Cyborg Film Festival (Italy) and Sombra Festival (Murcia). His next project, Desmadres, a tragicomedy, was selected for the Bitesize Film Festival. His most recent work, Zheimer, starring the renowned actress Lone Fleming, has garnered several awards, including Best Spanish Short Film at the LHIFF 2024, and has been selected for numerous international festivals. In December 2024, he received the Social Inclusion Award at the Youth Awards of the Region of Murcia for raising awareness about Alzheimer's, further solidifying his reputation as a creator of emotionally impactful and socially relevant stories.
