Biography

Jaran Huggins is a filmmaker from Nashville, TN now based in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of Temple University '22 where he earned his BFA in Directing. He's worked with companies on projects that span from the Country Music Association to AT&T's 2023 Black Future Makers Campaign to FX's critically-acclaimed Tupac docuseries, "Dear Mama". He has just completed his directorial debut short film, "Waking" following the festival run of his award-winning college thesis film, "Sheet Music" which premiered at the 2022 Nashville Film Festival and screened at a plethora of others. As a creative force, Jaran tells impactful, emotional stories through a surreal lens while challenging perceptions and shaping perspectives, one story at a time.
