- Justine Kaneda is an interdisciplinary filmmaker and performing artist. As a Japanese American, Justine strives to represent her culture and heritage through a genuine lens. Justine received her B.A. from Stanford University (studying Human Biology and Theater & Performance Studies) graduating with an Honors in the Arts and University Distinction. She then received her M.A. from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study concentrating in Film Production and Media Studies. Justine has had her films screened at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY), the Asia Society with New York Japan CineFest, Phoenix Film Festival, Imagine This Women's Film Festival, Greenpoint Film Festival, and many more. She is passionate about the representation of diverse narratives and identities, as well as uplifting authentic storytellers.
