Biography

Alexander McRae was born in Brisbane, Australia. His mother Milena is of Croatian descent, and his father Warren is of Australian descent. Alexander has lived in Brisbane, London and Singapore but spent the majority of his childhood growing up in Geneva, Switzerland. His multinational childhood experiences lends to his ability to speak multiple languages.

Since the age of 16 years old, the award-nominated Alexander McRae has been a part of several stage and screen productions and undertaken many roles, both as cast and crew. He studied acting and drama at the International School of Geneva and participated in the International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA) workshops in London, United Kingdom. Following this, Alexander went on to study acting and drama in Brisbane at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and graduated in 2023 with a BFA in Drama.

Currently (09/2024), Alexander McRae is based in South-East Queensland and has recently worked on several notable screen productions including Beyond The Woods (2022), Red: The Psychology of Beauty (2023), A Matter of Sin and Love (2023), and All of Us at River's End (2025). Alexander McRae has received overwhelming praise for his performances, including a nomination for best supporting actor in Beyond The Woods (2022) at the Screen It International Film Festival.
