Elias Barnevik Olsson is a Swedish director, editor, and writer known for his emotionally driven short films and work in sports documentary storytelling. A graduate of Vancouver Film School with honors, Elias has worked on several shorts including the multiple award-winning "The Beanstalk", which he wrote, directed and edited and which won the award for "Best Short Film" among several other awards at the Independent Horror Movie Awards 2025. His visual style blends grounded human emotion with striking cinematic imagery, often drawing from mythology, folklore, and personal introspection.
Beyond narrative work, Elias has also built a career in sports media, creating documentaries and visual content for Swedish footballers and clubs. His professional background also includes editorial and social media work, including growing the Youtube-channel "Reckful" to 300 000 subscribers as the only editor and social media manager.
