Alecia Rochelle Young

Alecia Rochelle Young was born in the old naval hospital in San Diego, CA on June 1st, 1989. She was born to Military Parents one Navy(Mom) and the other was once Air Force(Dad). She lived mostly with her mother and sisters, as they traveled across the U.S. and abroad. Alecia was in her elementary school years while living in Europe and was scouted and asked if she'd like to be a Professional Child Model in Paris, France; but turned it down for a normal childhood. Alecia had learned to speak new languages(namely Italian) while attending Stephen Decatur School for her elementary years. She has been known among her close ones and peers ever since 6th grade to be quite the writer(poetry, lyrics, stories, etc). It was her older sister who discovered her lyrical skills and exclaimed to her that she should be a songwriter when peeking over her shoulder one day as she wrote in private. Being only in elementary school she didn't know what a songwriter was nor was she interested in sharing her works as they were private. During the summer before 7th grade Alecia attended a day camp that entered her in a show at The Levitt Shell in Memphis, TN after they discovered Alecia's talent in dancing and skills in quickly learning and performing choreography. Alecia was even in band twice for a short while before choosing choir as final. Which led to her finding her singing skills in 8th grade where she attended Rogers Middle School. Alecia was asked to co-lead a song by the one and only Ms. Murphy; but proved to be too shy. It wasn't until 9th grade where she was introduced to rap and began to write hip hop. She was so comfortable rapping her lyrics she'd wrote instead of singing them. Thus making her a shy but not so shy and super undiscovered; but promising singer songwriter who also raps. Alecia was cast in her first musical at Kerr Jr. High in 9th grade. She fell in love with acting, the choreography, the singing, the whole entertainment industry. She knew she wanted to do this for the rest of her life. Thats when Alecia began to stay glued to the TV screens. She's been watching and impersonating the actors on screen from then on until 2007. Alecia's life has been rocky, but even more so during her teen years. Her mom retired from the military when she was 15. And Alecia was plucked from her imagination world to reality. Planted straight into a homeless shelter at 18. Surviving life had become the focus. All dreams on the back burner. Never letting go of the glimmer of hope; that one day, she will live her dreams. That one day came January of 2021 where she joined a WFA Football Team. That one day came in May of 2021 when she took the next step after the other and submitted to background roles in local Oklahoma Movies. That one day turned into several days of background roles in local movies where Directors would pull her from the back row to the front of the camera. That one day is Here. For the rest of her life. Just after placing her 3 young children in an Adoption in March of 2020. Alecia hit the ground running. Seriously. This girl has it all. She even does abstract painting. Has a heart for humanity. Dreams to do good will from a good heart. And bring cheer, hope, laughs, somber moments, and regeneration to all. She's been told to do stand up comedy. She's holding onto Fashion Designs she's sketched. Movie treatments shes woken up with. Has an eye for what works. Has an ear for what sounds best. Has a taste for whats the best food. A critic at heart. Alecia has had everything but confidence up until Now. And there is so much more.
