- Severin Eskeland was born and raised on the west coast of Norway, and he started making home movies when he was 13 years old. His affection for the horror genre was clear from the start, so he and his friends used the weekends to shoot films inspired by the Friday the 13th franchise.
After graduating from film school in Oslo he wrote and directed his first feature, "Snarveien".(2009), aka "Detour". His second feature "Lyst"(Lust) which he wrote, directed, produced and edited was released in 2017, worldwide in 2022.
His exam-film In 2006 "The Chamber" was screened at Screamfest in Los Angeles the same year. He has returned to the festival on two more occasions. In 2009 with his feature "Snarveien", and then again in 2021 with his short film "Number 7".
His two latest short films, "Allodium"(2019) and "Number 7"(2021) has been screened at festivals worldwide gaining multiple awards. "Allodium" is now also a part of Bloody Disgusting's "Bloody Bites" season 8.
His latest horror feature "HEKS" is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
