- Ildar Abdrazakov is a Russian opera singer. Grammy Award winner. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. At the age of 5 he began studying piano at the Ufa Secondary Special Music School. Five years later he left school because the teachers said that Ildar had no hearing. The teachers even told his parents that he had no ear for music. In the end, dad decided not to torment the child with tedious scales and solfeggio and took his documents from school. However, he continued to study music and singing at home, with his father helping him.
At the age of 14, fate brought him together with Milyausha Murtazina, a professor at the Ufa State Institute of Arts named after Zagir Ismagilov. Murtazina, after listening to the guy, decided to give lessons to prepare Ildar for admission to the Institute of Arts. In 1992 he graduated from Ufa secondary school. Then he entered the preparatory department, and in 1994 he entered the first year of the Ufa State Institute of Fine Arts, studying in the class of Professor M. Murtazina. Graduated from the institute in 1999.
In 1994, as a freshman, Ildar became a soloist of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater. The talent of the rising star soon became obvious far beyond the borders of the republic. First, he won the international competition named after Mikhail Glinka, and in 1997 received the 'Grand Prize of Moscow' at the television competition of Irina Arkhipova. The famous prima was fascinated by Ildar and predicted a brilliant future for him on the world opera stage.
In 2001 he made his debut at La Scala at the invitation of the artistic director and chief conductor of the theater Riccardo Muti.
