From the Chicago area, Jonathan received his BFA from the Maurice
Kanbar Institute of Film and Television Production at the Tisch School
of the Arts, NYU in 2004. He minored in English and American
Literature.
He began his career in the arts in film and theatre productions around the New York area. After winning the NYIT award for playwriting in 2011 he began his masters study at Brooklyn College in Theatre History and Criticism. His debut feature Let Them Chirp Awhile was awarded grant funding from NYU's Richard Vague Award Fund in 2007. He currently resides in Brooklyn.
