Biography

Sophia Powers is a Canadian-American actress from North Vancouver, British Columbia, whose commitment to her craft began at the age of nine. With early, focused training and representation from The Characters Talent Agency, she quickly distinguished herself through a combination of natural ability, discipline, and a genuine love of performance.

She made her network debut as Fox in the CBC/CW comedy series Son of a Critch, a role that has become a defining part of her young career. Filming in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Sophia has had the opportunity to work alongside an accomplished ensemble, gaining invaluable experience while bringing warmth and authenticity to her performance. After 4 successful seasons, she is currently filming the 5th and final season, as she looks forward to the next chapter of her career.

Sophia’s growing body of work also includes a recurring role as Liza on the FOX series Murder in a Small Town, as well as supporting performances in Hallmark films Fourth Down and Love and Unexpected Grace. Across projects, she demonstrates a thoughtful, grounded presence and versatility as a young performer.

Off screen, Sophia is an avid reader and maintains an active lifestyle, with interests that include boxing, field hockey, and snowboarding, and enjoys spending time outdoors with friends, family, and her many animals.

A dual citizen of Canada and the United States, Sophia spends part of each year on the Oregon Coast, where she finds both creative inspiration and balance.
