Alice Schwarzer was born on December 3, 1942 in Wuppertal-Elberfeld, Germany. She is a writer and actress, known for Alice im Männerland (1986), Ehen vor Gericht (1970) and Alice (2022). She has been married to Bettina Flitner since June 2, 2018.

Founder and publisher of the feminist magazine "Emma".

Germany`s most prominent feminist since the early 70s.

Although being attacked by right-wing journalists and parts of the feminist movement, she gained much popularity in the last years.

Was made Knight of the French Legion of Honor in December 2004 and received Germany's Cross of Merit, First Class in 2005.

Was good friends with Romy Schneider.
