Biography

Donna Pennestri-Day is the Associate Publisher of Variety. Donna is responsible for managing sales verticals to drive overall revenue growth for Variety's portfolio of products in print, digital and events. She also oversees brand marketing initiatives for the company, and as such continues to lead the television advertising strategy for the brand.

Donna is a 13-year veteran of Variety, having joined the company in 2000 as a TV sales executive. Throughout her tenure she also served as Director of National Television Sales for Variety's Television Group, and was Managing Director of Sales immediately prior to becoming Associate Publisher. In the Managing Director role she was instrumental in developing new products that increased reach, revenue and impact across the brand's multiplatforms.

Before joining Variety in 2000, Donna spent six years as Executive Director of Sales and Product Development at RCA Licensing and Promotions. Prior to RCA, she was a Sales and Marketing Manager at USA Network. Donna graduated Boston University from the College of Communications.
