Andrea Corazza(II)

Andrea Corazza is a director and screenwriter who has won 18 international film awards with over 60 official selections. He was nominated for the United Nations Peace Prize in Japan. He holds a degree in Discipline delle Arti, della Musica e dello Spettacolo and in Communication Strategies from the University of Padua. He is a student of Master Oliviero Toscani, who passed on to him a strong passion for socially engaged imagery. His first work was the documentary Echi sommessi di una guerra vicina, which won two international film festivals by portraying three testimonies from the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2020, he directed We have no colors, which achieved significant global recognition. The film was presented across all continents, broadcast nationally in the United States, and reached millions of viewers. It won five international film festivals (London, Rome, Dubrovnik, Richmond, Miami). In 2019, he began writing the screenplay for The Line of Life, which was nominated on June 11 for the 78th Venice International Film Festival. The project addresses childhood cancer, and all proceeds are donated to the Fondazione Città della Speranza. Supporters include Professor Andrea Crisanti, the Italian Red Cross, FAI, several companies, and private donors. The project is endorsed by the Municipality of Noale, the Municipality of Padua, and the Veneto Region. The Line of Life was included in the CittàSane project promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and was shot in Padua, Noale, and Vicenza. Key locations include Villa Almerico Capra (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994) and Villa dei Vescovi, a national monument owned by FAI since 2005. A few months after completing The Line of Life, Corazza worked as writer and director on the short film Life Match, produced with StrangerTeens and Team For Children inside the Hospital of Padua. The film features children and teenagers experiencing illness alongside doctors and nurses. With the short film Make a Wish, which addresses the theme of war, he supported the association Saving Lives, dedicated to helping families and children affected by conflict. The film achieved immediate international success, crossing the Atlantic and winning the Creators For Change Award in Miami. It was nominated in Nagasaki, Japan, for the United Nations Peace Prize and had its world premiere at the Veneto Region Hall during the 79th Venice International Film Festival. Invited by the Movimento Forense and the Ordine degli Avvocati, he presented a photographic project on violence against women titled Everything is alright inside the courthouse of Padua. On May 1st, Labor Day, he installed three provocative posters in the center of Noale (VE) titled I giovani non hanno voglia di lavorare. The installation drew public attention and exposed real job offers aimed at young people, highlighting contracts that violate workers’ rights and the realities young people face in today’s labor market. In 2025, he directed the short film Il Sogno Disegnato in collaboration with Calcio Padova, receiving the award for Best Screenplay in New York. He has given numerous talks and workshops in schools, sharing his projects and creative process. He has also spoken about his work on podcasts, television, radio, and at many conferences, both in Italy and internationally. In January 2026, he completed his new short film As the Sea, in collaboration with the Don Orione Center. The film explores affectivity and emotional relationships in people with disabilities.
