Gul Reyaz is an acclaimed filmmaker and theatre artist, best known for his debut Hindi feature film Shushur: The Frozen Times, released on 15th November 2024. He began his artistic journey in theatre, performing in numerous plays and earning the Best Actor award for his work in the short film Gul. Recognised for his talent. His short film Gul remains his most celebrated work, garnering multiple awards and now streaming on Phunflix. Another notable achievement includes Admirers of the Nation, a documentary nominated at the 10th Science National Film Festival of India in 2020, where it received a Certificate of Merit.
Gul Reyaz has directed nine plays, one of which earned awards in two different categories. Transitioning into filmmaking, he produced and directed multiple TV series for Doordarshan, alongside creating award-winning dramas, TV films, documentaries, and short movies as an independent filmmaker. he received the prestigious 'A' Top certification from the National School of Drama for a 45-day theatre workshop.
Currently, Gul Reyaz is working on a new feature film titled The Mansion.
