Biography

Jameson P. Murray (he/him) is a trans, black writer, comedian and New Orleanian. His multi-hyphenates have earned him awards for writing, directing, theatre and film. When he's not rollerskating behind Kenan in Good Burger 2, he can be found performing stand-up in Los Angeles or writing on films like A Movie Named Sucka (Kids in the Spotlight, Inc).

Murray has also written screenplays and stageplays for Fresh Ink Theatre, The Theater Offensive, and Yes Indeed! Media. As a proud New Orleans native, Murray trained at New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) and Comedy Uprising before graduating and receiving a Classical Acting certificate from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) and a BFA from Boston University (BU).

His on-screen credits: Late to the Party (New Orleans Film Festival 2023, Atlanta Film Festival 2023), Going Down (YouTube), Kindred (FX), The Crossover (Disney+), Big George Foreman (Sony), and Good Burger 2 (Paramount). He was a writer and warm-up comedian for BU's multi-cam sitcom Art House. Stage credits include: Not Your Average Story (Philadelphia Young Playwrights Festival), Men on Boats (NOCCA), Macbeth (LAMDA), Little Row Boat or, Conjecture (BU), Once (BU).
