Biography

Rune Brandt Bennicke was born on June 25, 1975 in Gentofte, Denmark. He is a director, known for Brother Bear (2003), Enchanted (2007) and Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017). He has been married to Tiffany Lauren Bennicke since April 27, 2016.

Speaks fluent English and Danish.

Was nominated for the Annie Award in 2004 for Outstanding Character Design in an Animated Feature Production for Brother Bear, released in 2003.

Was born and raised in Denmark.

Rune's first animation job was at the age of 16 at A-film Denmark in 1992, while planning to attend art school when he turned 18. However upon turning 18, he was already hired by Amblimation in London as a professional animator, followed by Disney Feature Animation in Orlando Florida when he turned 21.

Published author of the children's book, "The Mystery Hat".
