Angela Hamilton(V)

Angela Hamilton is a writer and filmmaker who started her career as a stand-up comic performing at venues in DC, Baltimore, and New York City. After moving 800+ miles away from her hometown, she found herself in the right place to finally pursue her dream of writing for the silver screen. Since 2022, Angela and her partner have written, directed, and produced 6 short films that are each celebrated among audiences for being fun, relatable, and heart-felt. Angela aims to draw attention to how mental health issues are portrayed in film, particularly in the horror genre. Her goal is to share the tools she has learned through her own mental health journey to help destigmatize the discussion surrounding mental health while empowering fellow survivors to find their path out of the darkness.
