Biography

Mohammad Khalkhalian was born in Tehran, Iran in the 1980s. From his teenage years, he was active in TV series such as "Zang-e Akhar" (The Last Bell) and "Khaterat" (Memories), and completed his acting education at a drama school in Tehran in 2000. Khalkhalian then participated in Iranian film projects like "Gisu My Mother" and "Last Bell" and the TV series "Free Downfall" as an actor, before he worked as an assistant director in the 2015 production "Burns" directed by Mirko Borscht and written by Wajdi Mouawad at the Bremen Theater. This encounter led to a collaboration at the Maxim Gorki Theater in the production "The Inbetween Speech" as part of the 2nd Berlin Autumn Salon. Since 2016, Khalkhalian has been an actor in "Die Schutzbefohlenen" (The Wards) by Elfriede Jelinek, directed by Mirko Borscht at Theater Bremen, and he also won the Best Actor award at the Maxim Gorky Theater Festival in Berlin. He later collaborated on a project called "A Streetcar Named Desire" as both an assistant director and actor at the Bremen Theater, directed by Sebastian Kreye. Additionally, Mohammad Khalkhalian is the first Iranian author of the book "Grace Kelly: From Philadelphia to Monaco, A Dreamy Journey."
