Gehrig Campbell-Dempsey

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I grew up in a family of storytellers. My mom made the wild leap from Texas to Hollywood to chase her dream of acting - a bold move that left a big mark on me, even as her path eventually shifted toward helping people in a whole different way. That spirit of reinvention and risk-taking runs in the family: my sister now works at a top agency in the UK, and I've built a career in visual effects, writing, and directing. I skipped college to launch an immersive media studio, producing VR experiences for arcades around the world - including launch content for Facebook, Microsoft's first VR headset, and PlayStation VR. But it didn't take long to realize that storytelling was my real obsession. Today I work as a VFX supervisor, writer/director, and editor, having contributed to Emmy-winning projects while pursuing bold, character-driven genre films. I work with Chaos Theory Entertainment with a crew of like-minded creatives, where we've produced award-winning shorts and are currently financing our first slate of features.
