Ferdinand Boland is the composer and arranger of several films including Yes Nurse, No Nurse, Bijlmer Odyssee, Armando and operas including La Famiglia, Opera in a Bus and Karrenspoor. Ferdinand wrote the music for the award winner Annie M.G., a seven-part TV musical series.
He has written many compositions, arrangements and orchestrations for Metropol Orchestra, the Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra, Het Gelders Orkest, the Praha Philharmonical Orchestra, the Capellen Orchestra (Brno in Cz), Erasmus Chamber Choir, Cluster Chamber Choir, the Russian State Symphony Orchestra, the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra.
Because of his experience, Ferdinand is often asked to orchestrate (film) music.
Since 2002 he has been teaching and lecturing in composition at the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht, Music and Technology. In September 2014 he became the course leader Bachelor of Music.
