Biography

Xiaodan Tang was born on February 22, 1910 in Hua'an, Fujian, China. Xiaodan was a director and writer, known for Nan zheng bei zhan (1952), Liao Zhongkai (1983) and Jin wu shi er chai xu ji (1938). Xiaodan died on January 21, 2012 in Shanghai, China.

June 19, 2005: was honored at the nationwide television special commemorating the Centennial of Chinese motion pictures.

Directed the first sound film in Cantonese, "White Golden Dragon" (1933).
