Stacie Frazier is an award winning independent filmmaker, director, and producer based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Known for her compelling music documentaries and culturally grounded storytelling, Frazier has built a reputation for capturing the creative process and personal journeys of artists.
She is the director and executive producer of the music documentary The Rehearsal Suite, featuring Aquil Dawud, which explores the artistry, collaboration, and dedication behind the recording studio experience. Her previous documentary, Let Me Talk My Ish, examines hip hop culture and independent artistry and is streaming across multiple platforms including The Roku Channel, Fawesome, Xumo, and Tubi.
Frazier’s path to filmmaking has been unconventional. Without formal film school training, she developed her skills organically through years of creative work in the entertainment industry, including artist management, fashion show coordination, photography direction, and event promotion. These experiences ultimately led her to documentary filmmaking, where she discovered a natural ability to tell authentic, character driven stories.
In addition to directing, Frazier has worked as a video editor and creative producer, overseeing projects from concept through final delivery. Her work often highlights music, culture, and the behind the scenes realities of independent artists.
Frazier continues to develop new documentary projects that explore resilience, creativity, and the power of storytelling within the music community.
