Biography

Tom Achilles is a filmmaker and actor based in Brooklyn, NY. He is a regular contributor to the popular NYC shows Club Video and Tootsie's Video Vault. In 2023, his sketch America's Got Tom was featured in Vulture's "Best Comedy Shorts" segment and has garnered over 140k views on YouTube.

His recent film Gone won an Award of Distinction at the 2024 Cayuga Film Festival, Best Edit at the 2024 Deep Cut Film Festival, and Best Experimental Short at the 2024 AltFF Alternative Film Festival. Additionally, he acted in the short film Jimbo, which was screened at the Tokyo Short Shorts Festival, the Fort Myers Film Festival, and the NY Shorts Film Festival.

Before moving to NYC, Achilles lived in Washington DC where he interned at DC Shorts and participated in the 48 Hour Film Project.
