Jovanka Broz was born on 7 December 1924 in Pecani near Korenica, Croatia, Yugoslavia. She was married to Josip Broz Tito. She died on 20 October 2013 in Belgrade, Serbia.
When she was 17, she joined the partisans led by Josip Broz Tito fighting the Nazi occupation of Yugoslavia. She became Tito's secretary, and in 1952 they married.
