Biography

Magda Umer was born on October 9, 1949 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland. She was an actress and director, known for Television Theater (1953), The Palace (1980) and Weryfikacja (1986). She died on December 12, 2025 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland.

In 2020, she received the 100th anniversary of ZAiKS award.

For her work and contributions, she was awarded The Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta in 2000.

In 2009, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage awarded her the Gold Medal of Merit for Culture Gloria Artis.

Graduated from the Faculty of Polish Philology at the University of Warsaw.

Began her career in 1969, winning the first prize at the FAMA festival - she also received this award a year later.
