Biography

David Macpherson grew up in the Highlands of Scotland and now lives in Edinburgh. He is the creator and writer of the Amazon Prime Original series 'The Rig'. After a series of short careers including working in the UK parliament, working for the police in the area of youth justice and working on environmental policy alongside the Scottish Government, David transitioned into writing for the screen when his spec script 'Wrath' was nominated for the Edinburgh TV Festival's New Writing Award and also made it onto the Brit List of the best unproduced screenplays in the UK. He now works across TV and film with a number of projects in development.
