Started his carrier as a child artist with his aunt and veteran actress late Sulbha Deshpande. He has entertained audiences as Anand Banerjee in "Munnabhai MBBS" by Rajkumar Hirani, Krushnaji Bhatt in "Bajirao Mastani" by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Anwar in "Iqbal" by Nagesh Kukunoor and alongside Kamal Hassan & Shahrukh Khan in "Hey Ram." Along with these Hindi masterpieces, He has captured audience's heart in Marathi films like Viti Dandu, Dagdi Chawl, Tukaram, Sarkarnama, Sugar Salt ani Prem and the serial "Raja Chhatrapati." Also worked in Gujrati, Tamil, Rajasthani, Kannada & English Films. With his acting Skills he is known to be a technically sound actor and a director's delight.
