Biography

'Sepide Berenji' is an Iranian-based scriptwriter, poet and film director. She holds a B.A in Persian literature and a M.A in Cinema. She's a teacher at primary school and "Raya" (2020), her debut short film, is based on her experiences and observations as a primary-school teacher. Her debut short film "Raya" (2020) has made its way to major film festivals such as 60th Zlín Film Festival, 38th Ale Kino! International Young Audience Film Festival, 37th BUFF Malmo Film Festival, 25th Schlingel Film Festival, and 49th Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival.
