Biography

Wataru Aso was born on May 15, 1939 in Tobata, Fukuoka, Japan. He was an actor, known for Hakata Movie: Chinchiromai (2000). He died on March 15, 2025 in Fukuoka City, Japan.

In 2017, he was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun.

He retired as the director of the Patent Office in 1994.

After graduating from the Faculty of Law of Kyoto University, he joined the former Ministry of Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry).

From June 2012, he served as the president of the Fukuoka Airport Building, which operated the Fukuoka Airport terminal building, for 4 years.
