Biography

John Mader has been a Producer that has worked in the industry in one way or another for over 20 years.

He's done everything from running a production company, producing commercials and low budget indie films in the Mid-West to reality TV, medium budget features and documentaries up to multi-million dollar an episode single or multi camera scripted network TV shows in heart of Hollywood.

John is not only known for being able to produce in an genre but to be able manage 2 separate scripted shows for 2 separate studio and networks at the same time. All while managing over 200 cast and crew and servicing each of the key players involved. Often with the two projects being completely different genres/formats.

John works from the perspective that while each project has its own special needs, be it a documentary, TV audience show, scripted or reality, feature length or short form a few thousand dollars or several million per, the fundamentals of any project never change. There is an idea and you gather the resource's and plan the logistics needed to execute that vision within the constraints dictated by the schedule and budget.

He has managed Electronic Press Kits (EPKs), fashion shoots, fashion shows, live performance events, trade shows with 200+ vendors as well as business to business, business to customer, experiential and 360 marketing campaigns.

His experience is varied and comprehensive enough that part time he lectures a Masters Level/Post Grad Course 511-2 at Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television. It goes from initial concept and script writing through execution of shooting and post. The class also compare the difference between Scripted V Reality and the pros & cons of each.

Worked in politics for 15 years helping represent non-profit nursing homes on the State and Federal level. Got into show biz because the Entertainment business seemed more down to Earth.

Won a contest and named the Pro NHL team the Columbus Blue Jackets.
