Biography

Actor Prashant Narayanan is known for his roles in Hindi movies and TV shows. He completed his education at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. Before beginning his acting career, he worked as an assistant art director and costume director for a while.

Narayanan has appeared in many television shows, including Phulwa (2011), Bandini (2009), and Shagun (2001). He debuted in the film industry with the role of a hitman in Hansal Mehta's Chhal (2001). He played a similar role in his following film It Happens That Way Too: Part II (2003).

Narayanan's dedication and sincerity toward his craft were highlighted by his performance in the German movie Schatten der Zeit (2004). He next ventured into the Malayalam film industry with the movie Idavappathi (2016).

Some of his most popular movies include Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011), Murder 2 (2011), The Goa Run (2014), Manjhi: The Mountain Man (2015), and Fredrick (2016).

He won the Screen Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for his performance in Murder 2.

If there is a rape in a local train,he knows about it instantly.He is the one police go to for information.He was a very shrewd business man and very materialistic. He deals with the dalal stree tand share market. Prashant played a struggling actor. The film got shelved when a NRI assistant director, Nadia Khan from the UK , passed away in accident. Nadia and the crew were shooting near the railway tracks. Nadia stood on one of the railway tracks talking on the phone when a train ran her over. The crew was not to be shooting on that railway track as they had booked a railway track that was not being used. The film stopped due to the accident and never was able to start again.

During his early career worked with Subhash Ghai as an assistant art director for Saudagar (1991).He had worked on most of the film sets in art department.Duirng the iconic scene where Dilip Kumar and Raj Kumar splash color on each other.He was the one holding the plate full of colors.
