Damir Kovic
- Actor
- Producer
Damir Kovic is a Canadian actor and filmmaker of Serbian and Bosnian descent. Born in Sarajevo and raised by his mother and grandmother in Toronto, he grew up on movies. It was his mother who put everything in front of him, classics, genre films, world cinema, and it took: film became the obsession that shaped everything after.
He came to the industry the long way, spending years as an industrial millwright before committing to acting full time. The trade left its mark on how he approaches the work: show up prepared, solve the problem, build it right.
His screen credits include Prime Video's The Boys and Cross, the long-running Canadian series Murdoch Mysteries, and the Crave original Late Bloomer. He starred as Dante in the six-episode series Emerge, with film roles in Kill Me I'm Irish, Jolene, Orbit, The Omro Heist and The Mouse Trap.
Behind the camera, Kovic is the founder of Anvil Motion Media, an independent production company built around grounded, character-driven storytelling. He is currently writing his first feature film, which he plans to direct. He lives and works between Toronto and Belgrade.
