Donnavon Madaran

Donnavon Madaran is a Dutch actor of Indian-Surinamese descent, known for his versatility and charisma. He gained attention in 2024 with standout roles in RELEASE, Esper, and Out, all of which premiered at major film festivals, including Amsterdam's Roze Filmdagen and Frameline. Madaran's other notable projects include Nachtrood (2024), I Saw You First (2023), and Hantu (2021), showcased at the Dutch Film Festival.
Trained in theatre, Madaran began acting at age 11 in Mo & Juliët and later studied at The Theatre Master in Amsterdam. He is also a skilled dancer in hip hop, commercial, and heels, with a background in judo and karate. Now expanding into filmmaking, Madaran is working on two original short films.
Passionate about advocating for queer and women's rights, Donnavon uses his platform to amplify underrepresented voices and create meaningful change both on and off screen.
