Biography

Edward Parks is co-founder and Executive Producer of Higher Content, a production company dedicated to bold new talent and character-driven storytelling. He previously founded Rival Pictures, producing award-winning films including Special, Luv, Caucus, and Space Station 76.

In 2011, Parks won the Producers Guild Award for Beats Rhymes and Life and received a Grammy nomination. Credits include the indie thriller Super Dark Times (The Orchard), the A24 western The Ballad of Lefty Brown starring Bill Pullman and Peter Fonda, Darkness Visible shot in Kolkata, India, and Stray Dolls starring Geetanjali Thapa, Olivia DeJonge, and Cynthia Nixon, released by Samuel Goldwyn Films in 2020.

Now based in New York City after two decades in Los Angeles, Parks teaches at the University of Southern California and the New York Film Academy, where he is passionate about developing the next generation of producers.
