  • Matthew Sirju is a SAG-eligible actor based in Queens, New York, and a recent graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in Acting. He has professional acting experience in TV, film, theater, commercial, and voice-over acting. His passion for acting was reignited during a high school acting class at the Queens High School of Teaching, harking back to his role as the Angel Gabriel in his church play as an eighth grader. This experience motivated him to join Moving Mountains, a not-for-profit theater company that provides art programs for inner-city youths. While at Moving Mountains, Matthew had the opportunity to work with various accomplished actors who helped him develop his acting skills. He auditioned for and was accepted into the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts summer program, which allowed him to further enhance his acting abilities. Following this, Matthew auditioned for and was accepted into Marymount Manhattan College. During his time at Marymount, he worked with many different acting professionals to further sharpen his skills and had the opportunity to play lead roles in various college productions. Matthew has also starred in various film projects, plays, commercials, and voice-overs. Notably, he appeared in the series "To Live and Die in Bed-Stuy" and played the teenage version of Lee Fields in the biopic "Lee Fields: The Faithful Man." Additionally, he was an actor in Netflix's theatrical experience titled "Stranger Things: The Experience" and was a principal actor in a Lego commercial currently streaming on Facebook and Instagram. Matthew also starred in Black Spectrum Theater's play titled "Last Block Association."     At Marymount college, Matthew is working with many different acting professionals to further sharpen his acting skills. In addition, Matthew had the opportunity to play a lead role in a play at Marymount. Matthew also stared in various film projects, plays, and voice overs including, "To live and Die in Bed-Stuy" the series. He also, had the opportunity to play the teenage version of the soul artist Lee Fields, in the "Lee Fields" biopic. Lastly, Mathew auditioned for and was contracted to do voice over for a project called "In Search of The Sun".

    Matthew's goal is to be able to motivate people through the characters he portrays, and to leave memorable performances that will help to inspire others to believe that they can accomplish their life long goals through perseverance and hard work.
