  • Amir Juan Chamdin is a Swedish filmmaker, creative director, and musician known for his work across film, television, music, stage, and advertising. Born and based in Stockholm, Chamdin has built a multidisciplinary career defined by a distinctive visual style and emotionally driven storytelling. Chamdin directed 2 Big To Rig (2026), the feature-length concert film documenting Ghost’s Skeletour World Tour. Shot on 16mm film during two sold-out performances at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City and presented in IMAX, the film features live performances, backstage footage, and behind-the-scenes material from the band’s phone-free tour. From 2025 to 2026, Chamdin served as Creative Director for Ghost’s Skeletour World Tour, creating a cinematic arena production for the Billboard number-one band. His collaborations with Ghost include music videos that have accumulated more than 100 million views worldwide. In 2024, Chamdin made his ballet debut as director and librettist of Gustavia at the Royal Swedish Opera. The production, starring Paris Opera Ballet star dancer Guillaume Diop, explored the life of Gustav Badin, a formerly enslaved African child who became part of the Swedish royal court in the 18th century. Chamdin directed the biographical drama series Börje - The Journey of a Legend (2023), based on the life of Swedish National Hockey League (NHL) star Börje Salming. The series premiered on Viaplay and received nominations at the Venice TV Awards and Sweden’s Kristallen Awards. In 2020, Chamdin created, wrote, and directed the psychological thriller series Partisan for Viaplay, starring Fares Fares. The series won Best Series at Cannes Series and was recognized by Variety as one of the Best International Television Series of the Year. Chamdin made his feature film debut with God Willing (2006), a black-and-white drama starring Nina Persson of The Cardigans and featuring music by The White Stripes. The film screened at international festivals and earned Chamdin the Kodak Visionary Award. His second feature, Cornelis (2010), a biographical film about Swedish singer-songwriter Cornelis Vreeswijk, became a major box office success in Sweden and Norway. Before entering filmmaking, Chamdin gained recognition in the 1990s as the founder and frontman of the Swedish hip-hop group Infinite Mass. He has released multiple albums and collaborated with artists including QDIII, MC Eiht, and Roger Daltrey of The Who. He also performed with the rock band Mean Streets and the super group Snowracer. Chamdin began his directing career through music videos, including the Music Television (MTV) Award-winning "You’re The Storm" by The Cardigans in 2004. He has since directed international advertising campaigns for brands including Hennes & Mauritz (H&M), IKEA, L’Oréal, Mango, and Adidas, working with artists and models such as Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, and Bryan Ferry. Chamdin is an inductee into the Swedish Music Hall of Fame and is recognized for his contributions to contemporary Swedish film, music, and visual culture.
