He's the director of the independent feature film "I Need; I Want," a film that has been showcased in 29 film festivals around the world, won 51 awards, and is now on several streaming channels such as Amazon Prime and Tubi. Some of Bill's awards: Best Up and Coming Filmmaker, 2022 International Motion Picture Awards, Toronto ONT; 2022 Stefanik Award -- 2022 Director/Producer of the Year, Sunshine City Film Festival, St. Petersburg FL; Best Screenplay, 2022 American Golden Picture Awards, Jacksonville FL; Best Director Silver Award, 2022 Hollywood Gold Awards, Los Angeles CA; Nominee: Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Directorial Debut -- 2023 Lonely Wolf International Film Festival, London UK. Bill Liggins is also the published author of six novels: "Warning" (Sci-Fi), "Nova Chasers" (Sci-Fi), "Undying Love" (Sci-Fi), "I Need; I Want" (Contemporary Fiction), "Table of the Sun" (Historical Fiction), and "The Senior Year" (Contemporary Fiction). Awards won for his books: Bookfest 18 Author Awards (Best Fiction Book-- "I Need; I Want"), Human Relations book Awards (2018 Silver Award -- "I Need; I Want"), and the A.A.M.B.C. 2019 Urban Fiction Book of the Year Nominee ("I Need; I Want") Among his previous productions was an award-winning TV documentary "Boulevards," a two-part presentation about the history of West Central Florida. Bill was also the narrator of the series. Bill was previously a Sportscaster/Reporter and Producer for Sportschannel New York, New England Sports Network (NESN), WFSB-TV Hartford, News 12 Connecticut, WEWS-TV Cleveland, Cox Cable Cleveland, and WCSB Radio Cleveland. He has been nominated for two Emmy Awards, won two CableACE Awards, two Associated Press Awards, and two UPI Awards. Bill is an actor who had studied Eric Morris technique under acting coach Kathy Loughlin. He has appeared on stage in such shows as "Dreamgirls" (MC Earl, Jerry, and Mr. Morgan), "A Soldier's Play" (Corp. Cobb), "The Me Nobody Knows" (Clorox), and "The Member of the Wedding" (Honey). Worked on the sets of a number of films as an extra. Bill is a graduate of Cleveland State University with degrees in Geology and Communications.
