- Konkona Sen Sharma is the maternal granddaughter of Chidananda Das Gupta. Dasgupta co-founded the Calcutta Film Society in 1947 alongside Satyajit Ray and Harisadhan Dasgupta. Supriya Dasgupta, her grandmother, maintains a direct familial connection to Jibanananda Das.
