Jake Lawler(I)

Jake Lawler is a former football player turned screenwriter from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hailing from Charlotte, Jake is a self-taught screenwriter who was named a 2021 Minority Report Fellow sponsored by Diverso for his television pilot screenplay, Martin Clay and just recently wrapped his first staffing gig on The Crossover on Disney+. He is a passionate storyteller that has a love for crime, horror, action, and sci-fi, believing that using those spheres to weave in resonant social commentary and feature a diverse group of people and ideas will help further elevate conversations in Hollywood and abroad... as well as selfishly knowing that there's a hell of a lot of fun to be had when things go bump in the night. He also likes to lift heavy objects from time to time and was a once-great-but-now-reformed high school street racer.
