Biography

A decorated producer and director of film, theatre and multi-media entertainment, Josh Sobel's work has screened in festivals across the United States, and has been named Best of the Year in the Chicago Tribune, Time Out, The Washington Post and Newcity Stage. Named one of Newcity's 2019 "50 Players Who Really Perform" alongside some of the most venerated names in Chicago art, his productions have transferred for sell-out performances at the legendary Steppenwolf Theatre Company and have been featured internationally at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. After relocating to Los Angeles for graduate school, he founded FutureHome Productions in 2021, an artist-forward, people-first production company where he is developing a slate of projects ranging from live experience to broadcast media, investing in next-generation artists seeking to leave the world better than they found it.
